Debbie's White Chili

2 medium onions, chopped

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 TB oil

2 4oz cans diced green chilies

2 tsp ground cumin

1½ tsp oregano

¼ tsp cloves

¼tsp cayenne

2 large cans white beans

6 cups chicken broth

4 cups diced cooked chicken

3 cups grated jack cheese

tortilla chips, sour cream, chopped green onions

In a large pot, saute onions and garlic with oil until tender. Add chilies and seasonings and mix thoroughly. Add broth, beans and chicken and simmer 45 minutes to 1 hour. Serve topped with cheese and other garnishes.
